or at least I thought I did. Gutty's Comedy Club© started as a dream I had back in summer of 2003. I woke up my wife at two in the morning trying to tell her exactly what I saw and ofcourse it came out like " urr umm yeah then there is a thing like....". I'm a visual creative junkie so I just got up and started drawing out the place. I could hear and feel the atmosphere and the people. The music filled the place and the lights shot on and there I was on stage.

I didn't have a name for the club at first but I felt like It was my God given purpose in life. Create an environment clean and safe for everyone and an atmosphere that is like none other. A Comedy Club, that houses specific components of comedy, I just didn't know where to start. I began an improv group called E Comedy Live! we had a great cast and we hosted two shows in one night in a small room that could seat about 50 people. I'll never forget that, we had a blast but it ended too soon. This dream was still in my heart so I just decided to continue the journey.

I started doing stand up comedy and hosting gala events with my co partner of the BS Comedy Crew© Brent Stackhouse and noticed the response from everyone to start a show that will host our comedic talents. At that time my best friend Brian Johnson and I would spend hours talking about this idea of a clean comedy club. This was the birth of the name Gutty's©. I wanted to create a brand for the club that would stand out. We kicked around the idea of gut busting laughter from the testimonials of countless people. That's when it hit us "Gutty's" Woot Woot!. Finally! a face we have a face! now to get some shows.

We launched our first show consisting of every part I envisioned it should host. Stand Up , Floetry (spoken word), sketch, Improv, Live Music, and Local Talent. it was a great success shortly lived. I was able to host three shows but it all ended too soon. Everything within me continued to battle this dream, that's when it hit me. Gutty's© was made to help our community, friends, and loved ones people who need to laugh because of what we go through everyday. I have to make this happen, if I can't make this happen eventually THIS place has to happen.

Since the Begining of January 2010 we've hosted 4 successful shows with Headlining comedians such as Horace H.B Sanders and Michael Jr. and help launch a comedy crew. " The BS Comedy Show " created by Brent Stackhouse and I consist of writers and nine very talented actors the midwest has to offer. Gutty's Comedy Club© will find a place to house the best of the best and join the rest of them out there as one of the premiere places to be for entertainment.
